I work at the intersection of culture and civic life, helping cities, arts organizations, and creative partners strengthen their identity and sense of place. My writing and speaking explore how the arts, design, public space, and the built environment influence mental well-being, economic vitality, and community belonging.

Let Art Do Its Work

Make Civic Life Feel Human

xoxo,

I write at the intersection of culture and civic life, helping cities and arts organizations strengthen identity, belonging, and a sense of place. My focus is showing how the arts, design, and public spaces shape community pride and well-being.
I believe culture isn’t an extra—it's a catalyst for thriving, human-centered cities.

My story is rooted in a lifelong commitment to the arts, and a front-row understanding of how culture shapes the life of a place.

My  perspective has been shaped by years of hands-on work within professional orchestras and arts organizations—supporting artists, building partnerships, and helping institutions evolve.  These experiences have shown me the ways beauty, music, and shared experience strengthen identity, belonging, and the way a community feels.

My superpower is telling the stories that reveal why the arts matter—and why beautiful, livable places don’t happen by accident.

Born in Chicago and trained at the Chicago Youth Symphony Orchestra, Interlochen Arts Academy, Idyllwild Arts,  Indiana University’s Jacobs School of Music and the League of American Orchestra's Orchestra Management Program, I bring a diverse and  experienced perspective to stories revealing the core of civic and performing arts innovation.
